Do you struggle with the relationships in your life? Do you feel disconnected from your own personal needs? Understanding your attachment styles is crucial to understanding the thoughts and worries you have about your relationships. Theseissues can cause a lot of internal strife. Parts often come into conflict when we are in a relationship and we run into crises about whether we should stay or go, and whether we entered the relationship for good reasons or because we didn't want to be alone.
Exploring these parts of your identity can help when navigating divorce or life after divorce, analyzing relationship patterns, exploring the impacts of your family of origin, and enhancing your relationship with yourself.
Together, we will explore your needs and work towards healing those parts of you that need love and compassion. I help clients gain internal clarity on their relationships and help them find the solutions that are best for their brain, body, and soul.
Codependency
Have you felt tired from carrying others? Do you feel you can never do enough? Do you feel you are not good enough if others are not happy with you? Codependency can lead to low self-esteem, poor boundaries, the need to save others, denying your own needs, perfectionism, shame from letting others down, and control issues.
But, there is a way to be free from all this. I help individuals navigate codependency by helping them to create healthy boundaries and guiding them towards accessing the healing that is available from their higher self.
Career Issues/Burnout
Do you dread Mondays? Do you feel exhausted and lack the energy needed to perform your job duties? Are you dissatisfied with your boss? I have worked in management for the last 8 years, and I have spent the last 3 years supervising staff. I understand how the corporate world constantly requires more from employees, with little effort to take the time to care for or get to know them.
I have assisted many people with burnout by setting boundaries, creating a work-life balance, and figuring out barriers that may keep them from achieving their most authentic desires in and out of the workplace.
Working Therapeutically with Therapists
Are you eager to learn how IFS, Brainspotting, or EMDR can support your healing journey?
I truly enjoy working with therapists who are curious and compassionate, helping them to achieve their highest potential by learning about themselves. I believe that self-awareness and emotional intelligence are core aspects of being a healthy therapist. Knowing what “your stuff is” is essential to being able to work with “other people stuff”.
Over the years, I have helped many great therapists find their authentic selves so they can advance their careers and reach their full potential as clinicians.
Addiction
Do you feel stuck in a place where you are not happy? Are you, your family, or your relationships hurting due to your addiction?
I have many years of experience working with substance use and abuse. While working within the 12-step model, I also use alternative methods beyond it, understanding that it is beneficial for healing though not always the best match for every person in recovery.
Through a trauma lens, I work with individuals to determine the cause of their addiction, which might be anxiety, depression, PTSD, loneliness, rage, despair, toxic secrets, regret, or untreated ADHD.
Our work together involves reviewing past relapses and reasons for continued use, and includes psychoeducation on how addiction impacts your brain and body. We will also explore how to use mindfulness strategies, including brainspotting and others, to explore the parts of you that prefer to numb themselves through your addiction.
